Founded by Abbot Shi Yongxin, the quarterly journal “Chan Dew” started publication in May 1996. It has been following the principle of “disseminating the immanence and connotation of the Chan culture” from the beginning, and thus gains a quite good reputation among the believers. Every issue of the journal contributes a considerable number of pages to exoteric, readable and life-related works which can reflect and express Buddhist content. In this sense, “Chan Dew” can be considered as a valuable Buddhist journal for the common readers in the society.
