College-bound Youth from Shaolin Charity House Get Red Envelops--Chinanews

ZHENGZHOU,Aug.23(Chinanews)--A grand send-off ceremony was held at the Shaolin Charity House for Zhao Hengxin and other students who passed the college entrance exam. Futhermore, Shaolin Temple, General Charity of Henan Province and people from all walks of life hand out red envelops to support the college-bound youth with their college education at the ceremony.

One of the students who passed the examination of Henan Polytechnic University, has been to Shaolin Charity House since he was six years old, and the 18-year old student has lived for 12 years here. He said that he will study hard and try his best to repay society after graduation with a heart of gratitude what he learned from Buddhism.

Shaolin Charity House was established by China Songshan Shaolin Temple's Abbot Shi Yongxin in December 2013, and it is an non-profit non-governmental charity organization. Since its establishment, there are 50 to 100 orphans being adopted from the local civil affairs department and local charities each year.
